‘’Dear Prends ça court!, take it short, it is your shot! Happy anniversary SODEC, Jeune créateurs and Cinéaste recherché(e) by NFB. Bravo! FACT.

If some have reached the 10 years mark in 2009, others will have gone through the 15 and even 20 years mark this year. What brings them all together in this short films program is REGARD’s wish to bear witness to their immense contribution to the blossoming of the short in here. In answer to this invitation, each one of them has chosen to show two outstanding WORKS from their talents pool.

For the last ten years, Prends ça court! and its globe-trotter Danny Lennon have been in the vanguard of the short film distribution in Québec. As a genuine reference, PCC! Is the most important organization for the promotion, programming and diffusion of short films in Canada. It also contributes in the distribution and production of independent and professional short movies while making possible the international diffusion of Québec’s short films artists and artisans.

Since 1989, SODEC’s Programme d'aide aux jeunes créateurs has contributed to the blossoming of many cinematographic projects. It has now been supporting the creation of young script-writers, producers and directors, aged between 18 and 35, for 20 years.

Bravo!FACT, a foundation created by the Bravo! and CHUM Television network has been supporting Canadian artists for 15 years by granting subsidies for the production of short movies.

The contest «Cinéaste recherché(e)» by the NFB offers the French-speaking upcoming cineastes the possibility to produce their first professional film and to evolve a unique creative process. In 2010, the contest celebrates its 20th edition in 30 years of existence.
