FRED JOUBAUD
Fred Joubaud has been distributing short films on the international market for more than ten years. Many films represented by Fred have been selected and received awards in many prestigious festivals such as Berlin’s and Cannes’. During the last few years Fred has distributed nine short movies which have been nominated at the Academy Awards, among which « Le Mozart des pickpockets» which was awarded the Oscar for best fiction short in 2008.

Last July, Fred joined OUAT MEDIA, a Toronto-based short film distributor, as general manager.


JOZEF SIROKA
Jozef Siroka handles the cinema blog on La Presse’s website while also working there as a desk journalist. He studied history and cinema theory at Concordia University and explored the more technical aspect of cinematographic production at the New York Film Academy. Besides, he has published a dozen contributions to specialized magazines Ciné-Bulles and Séquences.






MARTIN RODOLPHE VILLENEUVE

Martin Rodolphe Villeneuve studied cinema and video at UQAC and was soon known and appreciated throughout cinematographic circles. He makes-up an excellent creative duo with Patrick Bouchard. After acting as a co-script-writer for « Les Ramoneurs cérébraux», winner of a Jutra award in 2002, he also scripted «Révérence», an animation produced by the NFB in 2007.2007.

He also directed two documentaries, « Ce qu'il reste» and «L'Asepsie»; the latest being dedicated to the work of Guy Blackburn and subject of a round table at the 26th Festival International du Film sur l'Art as well as within the framework of the Haban'Art project in Cuba.

Between 2005 and 2008, Martin performed a few essays on shots and counter shots in his film «Dans une heure». In parallel with this research work, he won the Téléfilm Canada contest «écrire au long» which allowed him the opportunity to script-write his first feature movie. In 2009, he shot a fiction feature titled «Haut-fond Prince». Lately, he signed his last opus «Un choral de Mendelssohn», a documentary which figures under the aegis of a cineastes’ collective titled «J'ACCUSE».





Jury Public
Selected following a call sent through the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean media, the jury members are the worthy representatives of the festival-goers with whom they share a passion for cinema. The members of the public jury will grant the Public Award and the Sustainable development Award.
