Alain Corneau

Alain Corneau is a key person in the Saguenay—Lac-Saint-Jean cinematographic world. He started his career as a technical operator for the NFB and was also dedicated to photography. As a director, he participated in numerous productions such as O.K. Laliberté, J.A. Martin photographe, Au clair de la lune and Cordélia. As a producer, he worked for many years with various directors, among which Patrick Bouchard in his animated film Les ramoneurs cérébraux. His main collaborations are La fiancée de la vie by Carole Laganière and Deux mille fois par jour by Myriam Pelletier-Gilbert and Stéphanie Lanthier. Believing in the future of regional production, he founded Les productions de la Chasse-Galerie in the 1980s. Member of the consortium of regional enterprises «Synercom Téléproductions», he contributes to the documentary collection La culture dans tous ses états. He also worked as a lecturer on cinema at the UQAC from 1998 to 2004.

Félize Frappier

Félize Frappier, who has an excellent knowledge of the cinema industry in Québec as well as of the international markets, has taken the step into production this year and joined the Max Films team to produce Guy Édoin’s first feature film, Marécages. Operating within the distribution sector and as a sales agent for Max Films International since 2003, she worked at the foreign distribution of films such as La Grande séduction, La Face cachée de la lune, Saint-Martyrs-des-Damnés, Borderline, Un été sans point ni coup sûr and, more recently, À l’origine d’un cri. Holder of a bachelor’s degree in French language and literature and graduate in management of cultural organizations, she has also participated in various professional trainings abroad.

Laurent Guerrier

At the beginning of his career, Laurent Guerrier studied architecture and worked as a photographer. In 1992, he joined the Clermont-Ferrand short film Festival for the promotion and diffusion of the films from the world’s most important cinematographic event dedicated to short films. Member of the international selection committee, he chooses the best films for the competition and organizes many other related activities which reach cinema lovers around the world. He is a permanent member of « Sauve qui peut le court métrage », which was created some ten years ago, and participates in the diffusion of its award-winning works.
