Autour de Minuit

Les Brasseurs R.J. present

  • Friday march 11th > 19 h 30 > Petit théâtre de l’UQAC

Since the release of OBRAS in 2004, Autour de minuit’s films have shined every year through the REGARD festival and carried our public within unusual graphic and sensorial universes. Renowned for their innovative aesthetic qualities, these productions resort to new technologies while making the most of unexploited visual territories where hybridization of techniques, supports and styles are at the heart of the artistic process in order to offer totally new visual experiences.

Nicolas Schmerkin, Autour de Minuit’s founder and director, stood out early in the international circuit thanks to his avant-garde manner of tackling the short film. So well that, in 2006, he was granted the Procirep award for best French-speaking producer of shorts and received the 2010 Oscar for best animated short with Logorama. Moreover, he also received more than 200 festival awards for the various films produced.

Don’t hesitate and jump at one of the rare opportunities to see all these masterpieces gathered within one single program!
